FULLY COACHED OPEN WATER SWIMMING CAMP - CHILI TRI, COMPETA, COSTA DEL SOL, SPAIN
This exclusive camp is limited to 6 swimmers, fully coached in the amazing town of Cómpeta, Costa del Sol, Spain. If you are interested, we recommend booking by the end of August to avoid disappointment.
WHO SHOULD COME TO THE CAMP?
Become 'weightless' by learning to cooperate with gravity instead of fighting it. Learning body balance transforms struggle into smoothness and calms churning legs. It also brings the body control and mental calm necessary to learn every skill that follows. We will build on your natural stroke using the latest swim coaching techniques.
WHAT WILL YOU TAKE AWAY?
Your safety is very important to us, so swimming is done with a tow float, kayak support and guide swimmers. It is necessary to ensure you have your own travel and health insurance.
Wetsuits and swim buoys/tow floats are compulsory so please plan to bring this with you.
Day 1: Thursday
Arrival and welcome at the facilities of ChiliTri in Cómpeta
13:00 to 15:30 Welcome by the coaches to explain the objectives of the camp, the camp itinerary and gifts for the participants.
Technical analysis of the best Olympic & Triathlon swimmers, introduction to the latest swimming techniques, drills and kit.
Break 15:30 to 16:00
16:30 to 19:00 Initial Session in the 25m pool with video recording
19:30 to 20:30 Session of individual video analysis feedback for each participant by Karen
Free evening to explore the beautiful white washed village of Cómpeta.
Day 2: Friday
9:00 to 12:00 Travel to the Lake to swim in the clear water of a clear water lake. Putting in to practice the techniques we have learnt. After the swim you can enjoy Tapas in a lake side bar, a wonderful setting for both the swim and tapas!. This will be a combination of open water skills and distance swimming to embed your new techniques
16:30 to 19:00 Swimming pool session on an individual basis. Karen and the coaches will analyse your
20:30 Group BBQ at the Villa or Pizza night at a local restaurant.
15:00 to 16:00 Strength and Conditioning for swimmer’s session at the side of the lake with Karen
swim stroke and give guidance on how to improve your swim efficiency.
Day 3: Saturday
Morning, after breakfast
7:30 Technical meeting to explain the open water training session,
Travel to the coast
8:30 a.m. to 12:00 Open water training.
The swimming distances would be between 2km and 10km depending on your needs and level, where we will cover the Nerja coastline, with a great variety of stunning views. You get to put in to practice your new skills.
12:30 Lunch and Farewell drinks & close.
Our coaches are BTF or IRONMAN certified coaches. Our Personal Trainers are registered with the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA).
